Traditional Cuisine
We offer a menu based on homemade Portuguese cuisine, with a focus on traditional dishes from the Lafões region such as Roast Veal, Oven-Roasted Kid (Goat), Arroz de Cabidela, Traditional Cured Meats, Cornbread baked in wood-fired ovens, and homemade desserts like Egg Pudding and our signature “Pena Cotta.”
All dishes are prepared using local products, many coming from our own farming and livestock production.

The restaurant is located in one of Portugal’s most emblematic villages — Aldeia da Pena, in the municipality of São Pedro do Sul. A magical place, nestled among mountains, where nature, tradition, and fine dining come together.
Sustainable, Homegrown Ingredients
Our kitchen is supplied with: Arouquesa beef, raised using traditional methods; heather honey; artisanal cured meats and hams; and seasonal vegetables from the family farm.
This direct connection from field to plate guarantees freshness, authenticity, and unparalleled flavor.

Beyond the gastronomic experience, you can also purchase some of our products, such as honey, cured meats, and miniature handicrafts (replicas of schist houses, made by Alfredo Brito).
